Grim Morning Discovery

It is early in the morning, the streets are bathed in a light mist, a testament to a dawning and mysterious dawn. Unfortunately, the morning scene is marred by an event most sinister. On the damp and cold pavement, a man lies still, a reddish stain blossoming around him - a gunshot wound that cannot be ignored. He is unconscious and carries no identification, adding an additional veil of mystery to the situation. Daniel Thibault, the regular morning runner familiar with the quiet alleys, was the unwitting witness to what appears to be the aftermath of a crime. His discovery is all the more disturbing as he saw a woman, of average appearance, hastily mount her scooter and speed away from the scene, leaving behind more questions than answers.
